Hi! Thank you so much! In this case I wrote the haiku then searched my phone's photos for an image of a mountain top. I am also an avid hiker and have plenty of photos, but I never realized the clouds were shaped like an open heart in this one.
Last night I read an article on the art of traditional haiku, went back and changed the word found to find, because it's supposed to be present tense and I love to honor the art of anything. It's definitely spilling over into my regular writing as well and is changing the prose. Another reason I am currently editing and revising some of my previous work. I have even added a short haiku to many of the older stories.
Thank you always for the support, encouragement and discussion.❤
Thank you, Kristin. The photo of the clouds was just waiting for you.:) I’m interested to see how your prose phrasing evolves out of your interests and practices with Haiku. Staying tuned! Thank you, my friend.
Love the poetry, Kristin. Compelling imagery and phrasing. Do you find it changing your prose styling? Well done, my friend.:)
